What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the drive my parents instilled in me early on, the belief that if you’re going to do something, you should do it well and with integrity. That foundation fueled my own will to become the best version of myself, even when the path wasn’t clear. Much of my growth came from navigating challenges without a roadmap, learning through the metaphorical punches that come with trial, error, and resilience. I didn’t have strong leadership or mentorship until much later in my career, so I had to develop my own voice, trust my instincts, and lead myself first. Because of that experience, I make it a priority to support and uplift my team, to be the kind of leader I wish I had, and to ensure they never feel as alone or uncertain as I once did.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to have regular, open conversations with your manager, not just about performance, but about your career goals and growth expectations. Constructive feedback, whether positive or critical, is essential for development. You can’t expect to grow if you don’t know where your gaps or blind spots are, and you can’t expect a promotion if your manager doesn’t know that you’re striving for one. Clear, ongoing dialogue creates alignment and accountability on both sides and helps turn career aspirations into actionable steps.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay curious, stay proactive, and don’t be afraid to make yourself known. That doesn’t mean being pushy or loud, it means showing genuine interest in the challenges your company is facing and seeking opportunities to collaborate across teams. Ask questions, learn the business, and build relationships. Some of the best opportunities come from simply being in the room, contributing thoughtfully, and showing that you're invested in the bigger picture.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in Customer Success right now is the oversaturation of the market. With so many professionals vying for similar roles, getting your foot in the door can be tough (which is why networking and building genuine relationships are more important than ever). Another challenge is the shifting perception of what Customer Success actually is. On one end, it’s often mistaken for a glorified support role, and on the other, it’s being pushed to function solely as a sales engine focused on upsells and renewals. The real opportunity lies in redefining the value of Customer Success as a strategic partner in the customer journey, one that drives long-term retention, growth, and meaningful outcomes.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In my professional life, being a strong mentor is incredibly important to me. Helping my team grow, build confidence, and succeed, whether in their current role or the next, is one of the most fulfilling aspects of being a people leader. I believe leadership is about lifting others up and creating an environment where they feel supported, challenged, and seen. In my personal life, I deeply value quality time with the people who matter most, especially my rambunctious 5-year-old, my husband, and our extended family. They keep me grounded, inspired, and remind me of what truly matters.
